What is six love in dominoes?

Six love is the Jamaican way to play a set of dominoes. You need six hands while the other side is still on love, still on zero. Win six to love and the whole yard hears about it.

The bruk

Here is what makes six love more than first to six. If you are leading 5-0 and the other side, still on love, wins a hand, they do not get a point. The score bruks: it goes straight back to 0-0. The hand after a bruk is worth 2 and the double six is forced to open it.

One all, play two

When both sides have won once, at 1-1, the next hand is played for two: win it and you go straight to 2-0.

Six love in cut throat

With four separate players, several can hold points at once. The score only bruks once every player has won a hand. You win the set by reaching six while another player is still on zero.

First to six

The shorter set: first to win six hands takes it, with no bruk. YaadDominoes offers both.
