Cut throat dominoes rules
Cut throat is dominoes with no partners: every player for themself. Everything else is the Jamaican game you know.
- Four players get seven bones each; three players get nine; two players get fourteen.
- The double six opens the set. Play goes anticlockwise. Match either end, or pass.
- First out wins the hand. A blocked hand goes to the lowest count in hand.
- Sets are first to six, or six love, where you must reach six while another player is still on zero.
How cut throat plays differently
With no partner to help you, every bone you play can feed the player on your right. Watch the passes: a player who passes on a number is out of it, and blocking them is how you take the hand.
